• In our scientific units, scientists and engineers focus on process step development, process integration and applied technology research, amongst others in the fields of electronics, solar cell, multimedia and wireless systems technology.
  It is the trend towards developing ever smarter, smaller and cheaper systems using less energy. For these units we welcome PhD students, scientists, engineers and laboratory assistants.
  
  
• Our pilot production line is the fastest growing unit within our research center, employing over 180 people. In this advanced experimental production line imec develops production processes, ready for transfer to the international IC manufacturers. For this unit we take on engineers, technicians and process operators.
  
  
• INVOMEC is the unit that offers a prototyping and small-volume production service to companies. Firstly, INVOMEC helps customers to design chips and to bring it to the prototype and production stage at top chip foundries. Secondly, the service covers the production of prototypes and small volumes. Finally, INVOMEC offers specialized technical advice on chip design and on packaging and testing.
  
  
• At last, we have support units such as business development, ICT, public relations, finance, HR, …
